After its 1.0 launch consisted of Supergiant's first-ever sequel only being available on PC and Nintendo Switch/Switch 2, today, during the Xbox Partner Preview for March 2026, we learned that Hades 2 will finally make its debut on PlayStation and Xbox consoles next month, on April 14, 2026.

This arrival comes a little more than six months after its initial 1.0 launch, rounding out the remaining platforms for Hades 2 and ending the limited console exclusivity that Nintendo enjoyed. On Xbox, it'll be available as an 'Xbox Play Anywhere' title, meaning you'll be able to play it on your Series X/S console, on the Xbox PC app, or through Cloud streaming. It'll also be available on Xbox Game Pass right when it launches.

It's nice to finally see Supergiant's sequel to its beloved action game Hades coming to remaining platforms. It was easily one of the best games in 2025 and was part of what made last year such an indie-led affair.

Along with every other game shown at today's Xbox Partner Preview, a blog post on Xbox Wire went into more detail about the coming title. You can also check out my review, where I played the game on the Nintendo Switch, to see what I thought of the game right at launch. Here's a little snippet:

"It's the first time Supergiant is making a sequel to one of its games, and while the studio has proven to me that they can make a damn good video game at least four times over, a sequel adds a whole new set of expectations and concerns. Concerns that were quickly dashed, and expectations that were greatly surpassed the more I played Hades 2."
