Rockstar's silence on GTA 6 may be deafening at this point, but there are plenty of other whispers on the most anticipated game ever made.

Yesterday, PC Gamer posted an interview with content creator and media personality HipHopGamer, who shared some stuff about the next Grand Theft Auto game:

There's things in Grand Theft Auto that I know for a fact, because I got a chance to party with Rockstar, literally. There's a special side mission with a major rapper that left CM Punk bloody by accident.

I'm blown away by this game. You've never ever seen a game like this, and this game will produce millionaires. We're living in a time where, you know, UGC is a major thing. User Generated Content. It's wise, and it's worth the wait. Because when it does come, especially on PC, if you thought GTA 5 was crazy— especially with the RP servers and everything that they're doing — you ain't seen nothing yet.

Now, let's unpack this statement. The first part appears to be a clear reference to rapper Freddie Gibbs, who accidentally injured Phil Brooks during the filming of 2025's horror movie Night Patrol. Gibbs's music is featured heavily in GTA 5 and GTA Online, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that his relationship with Rockstar might evolve into a full-fledged side mission in GTA 6.

The claim about UGC being very prominent in the next GTA, especially on PC, follows an earlier rumor. Over a year ago, website DigiDay reported that Rockstar had been meeting with Fortnite and Roblox content creators to explain its UGC plan, which would allow them to create entirely custom experiences for their fans. That report didn't clarify whether Rockstar would actually allow monetization, but HipHopGamer's new claim certainly does.

His reference to PC's roleplay FiveM-style servers falls under the same strategy of giving GTA 6 players extensive opportunities to customize their own experience. As a reminder, Cfx.re, owner of FiveM, was acquired by Rockstar back in 2023.

Of course, all this info remains unconfirmed at the time being. Rockstar should hopefully start lifting the veil that covers Grand Theft Auto 6 soon; meanwhile, head to our fresh roundup page to discover all the latest news and rumors.
