Google has officially announced that it will be hosting its Made by Google 2025 event on August 20th to announce the new Pixel 10 lineup and the new Pixel Watch 4. The company has, yet again, decided to launch new hardware much earlier than last year as part of its complete shift from the software end as well. Previously, Google used to announce new Pixel-branded handsets in October, a month after Apple's iPhone announcement, but this time around, the Pixel flagships will be announced roughly a month earlier than the iPhone 17 lineup.
Google moves event to New York, promises new hardware, AI upgrades, and a first look at Tensor G5 chip
The company is reverting to the location of the event as well, moving the event from Mountain View, California to New York City, where select media personnel will be invited for hands-on sessions and to attend the event as a whole. The highlight of the event will be the company’s highly anticipated Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold alongside the Pixel Watch 4. The invite has been released to the media exactly five weeks before the event.
The Made by Google 2025 event will start at 10:00 AM PT or 1:00 PM ET, so be sure to clear your schedule if you are willing to watch the event live. The company will also be live-streaming the complete event on YouTube, making it easier for everyone to watch the event anywhere, anytime. The company has also officially teased the "Pixel phones, watches, buds, and more." We will possibly see more at the event, so be sure to keep an eye out for our extensive coverage.
We believe that the Made by Google 2025 event will focus on new software and AI upgrades, as the devices are slated to retain the same design as the current models. However, the company can always surprise us with new products. The new Tensor G5 chip will also be the highlight of the event as Google has switched from Samsung to TSMC, giving it a power and efficiency boost, but it remains to be seen how it will compare against Apple's A19 Pro chip and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for Galaxy.
