GMKtec has launched another powerful machine for local AI workloads, but it does more than that.

GMKtec Debuts EVO-X3 Mini PC, Featuring Slim Design; Hosts 16-Core/32-Thread Zen 5-Based Ryzen AI Max+ 395 for Powerful Computing

Popular mini PC and hardware maker, GMKtec, has been launching numerous mini PCs for a while. The company has a dedicated lineup for AMD and Intel-based mini PCs, and has already launched powerful mini PCs based on the latest AMD Zen 5 architecture. The latest addition is the EVO-X3 mini PC, which isn't the only one to boast the flagship Strix Halo CPU.

Apart from the EVO-X3, the company has previously introduced the EVO-X3 mini PC that also brings the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip. The EVO-X3 is a similar mini host, but with a slim design that takes less space on the desk. This vertical tower is quite compact, but it brings powerful hardware inside the chassis that delivers strong computing performance through its 16-core/32-thread CPU configuration.

The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 features the most powerful integrated graphics available in the mainstream market, i.e., the Radeon 8060S. The iGPU is sufficient for intensive graphical workloads such as 3D rendering and gaming, while the NPU takes care of AI workloads. Ryzen AI Max+ 395 as a whole brings up to 126 TOPS of AI power, which is enough for intensive local AI workloads such as running large language models.

Apart from bringing a powerful configuration, the mini PC is also equipped with an OCuLink port, featuring PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 mode for external graphics cards. Users can add RTX 40 and RTX 50 series GPUs to bring more performance, but keep in mind that PCIe 4.0 x4 will throttle modern-gen GPUs significantly. Nonetheless, it's still a handy feature, which can come in handy. The machine also brings its 24/7 AI Agent called GMKtec Claw+Wrangler, which removes any cloud dependency for local inference.

For storage and memory, the system brings dual M.2 SSD PCIe 4.0 x4 ports, supporting up to 16 TB of storage and up to 128 GB LPDDR5X memory support clocked at 8000 MT/s. For connectivity, it boasts WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, HDMI 2.1, and USB4 for display, as well as support for 100W power delivery.

The GMKtec EVO-X3 will officially launch on July 6, 2026, through the GMKtec store and will be available in 128 GB + 2 TB and 128 GB + 4 TB configurations. Here is the pricing for each configuration:

  1. 128 GB + 2 TB = $3600
  2. 128 GB + 4 TB = $3849
