The iPhone is great and all, but the restrictions imposed by Apple to customize your Home screen or an other place is really annoying. No matter when you purchased your first iPhone, the rounded square appearance of icons has not changes by a huge margin. However, there's a strange glitch discovered that lets you set completely round folders on your iPhone.
Set Completely Round Folders On Your iPhone's Home Screen
As disappointing it may be for some users, you cannot change the way your icons are stacked up on the Home screen of your iPhone. However, if you want to change your folders from a square with with rounded corners to circular round folders, then there's a trick for it. The trick is really simple and easy, but you need to be running iOS 9.3 on your iPhone for it to work. So, if you're willing to give it a go, follow the step-by-step instructions provided below.
- The first thing that you would need to do is find a really small wallpaper. You can get some from here.
- Now tap and hold on any colored wallpaper without opening it and save it.
- The image will be saved in your iPhone Photos app. So, navigate to the Photos app and open the image you just downloaded and tap on the Share button and tap Use As Wallpaper.
- Now select Still and then tap on Set. Your Home screen wallpaper will be set.
- Now press the Home button and see the completely round folders, instead of the rounded squares.
Do take note that the trick works depending on the iOS device you have. Usually, the folders located at the bottom half of your screen will be rounded, while those above it would appear in their stock rounded square form. Nonetheless, you can always drag and drop folders to the bottom end of your display. Check out the video below for more details.
This Home screen hack is possibly a bug and it is most likely that Apple will fix it in the future version of iOS. So don't get attached to so much unless you're willing to stay on iOS 9.3. It's yet not clear how the glitch causes it, but changing your wallpaper to a tiny image makes it happen.
