The leak comes from the Persian news outlet, Faceit.ir, which managed to source its data from a local Gigabyte distributor. The leak exposes several upcoming Z890 motherboards based around the LGA 1851 socket and featuring support for next-gen Intel Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs that will make a formal debut at Computex 2024 as revealed yesterday.

According to the leak, Gigabyte is working on at least 8 new motherboards under its Z890 AORUS and classic portfolio. These motherboards include the top-tier Z890 AORUS XTREME AI TOP, Z890 MASTER AI TOP, and the Z890 AI TOP motherboards. These motherboards are the only three that are listed with "AI TOP" which is a new AI-enhancement feature. No details are available but it can be on the BIOS side to enhance tuning capabilities of these higher-end series. This leak more or less confirms that motherboard manufacturers including Gigabyte will display their latest and greatest products based on the new Z890 chipset at Computex 2024. Intel's next-generation Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs will be fully utilizing the new motherboards to unleash maximum performance potential. We can expect a range of features from these new boards such as native support for better I/O such as Thunderbolt 4 along with faster memory speed support.

Following is what we know about Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs so far:

The question now remains, when can we expect the launch of these new products? Intel's Lunar Lake CPUs are expected to ship in Q3 2024 with availability in Q4 2024 and this should be around the same time when we can expect Arrow Lake CPUs to launch. Maybe sometime between the Q3 and Q4 timeline which is what AMD is targeting too for its next-gen Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" CPU lineup. It will definitely be a heated competition on both desktop and laptop platforms as AMD and Intel battle out with a diverse range of chips targeted at high-performance, mainstream, and entry-level consumers.
