AMD will be introducing its next-gen Ryzen Threadripper 7000 CPUs later today and Gigabyte has already revealed its next-gen motherboard that will support the chip. The board in question is the Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D which will be part of the TRX50 series of HEDT motherboards that would accompany the higher-end WRX90 motherboard. These motherboards will be available next month for DIY while WRX90 motherboards will mostly be aimed at pre-built workstation PCs and high-end workstation users.

Talking about the specifications, the Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard adopts the AMD SP6 socket which is known to house the server-grade EPYC 8004 Sienna chips. These chips are based around the Zen 4C core architecture and you will also be getting the same treatment with up to 96 cores for the enthusiast HEDT and Workstation platforms. The CPU socket is powered by a 16+8+4 phase VRM and comes in a right-angled layout, surrounded by four DIMMs which confirms a quad-channel DDR5 array. The WRX90 platforms will adopt the 8-channel memory array. The CPU socket is powered by dual 8-pin connectors and the standard 24-pin ATX connector.

For expansion, the motherboard features three PCIe Gen 5.0 x16 slots, four M.2 Gen5x4 slots, and a strong array of USB ports. The motherboard also features a heatsink for each of the four M.2 slots & there are also 8 SATA III ports. The whole design language is very durable in nature with silver colors & very simplistic aesthetics.

Currently, there's no information on pricing but we will know in a bit as these motherboards and many more will be unveiled in just a few hours with AMD's Threadripper 7000 launch.
