GIGABYTE has launched one more B850 chipset motherboard in its AM5 catalog, offering the latest X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 support.
GIGABYTE Debuts B850 AORUS Elite X3D, Featuring 20 Phase VRM, Great I/O Connectivity, and Support for X3D Turbo Mode 2.0
Popular hardware maker GIGABYTE has introduced another motherboard to its AM5 arsenal called B850 AORUS ELITE X3D, which appears to be a sibling of the B850 AORUS Elite, except that it's optimized for the Ryzen X3D processors. Since unlocking Ryzen X3D processors is a little different from traditional non-X3D chips, the new board brings some specialized features for the same.
As far as the layout goes, the B850 AORUS Elite X3D brings a 16+2+2 power phase VRM for excellent and reliable power delivery to the CPU. The B850 AORUS Elite X3D is totally different from the B850 AORUS Elite WiFi7, bringing better power delivery and an overall superior feature set. It brings some good onboard features as well, including debug code display, multiple fan and AIO headers, beautiful RGB lighting, and well-grooved heatsinks for proper heat dissipation.
Its rear I/O is particularly impressive, bringing several Type A ports for peripherals, dual fast Type C ports, a built-in WiFi adapter, 2.5G LAN, and power, reset, clear CMOS, and Q-flash button set. The motherboard offers 4x DIMMs with support of up to 8200 MT/s and up to 256 GB capacity, and dual PCIe x16 slots supporting Gen 5.0 and Gen 4.0 interfaces.
Its most notable feature is support for GIGABYTE's X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, which offers a platform-level performance optimization for Ryzen X3D chips. Through this technology, the motherboard can optimize Ryzen X3D CPU's performance using three different modes: Standard, Max Performance, and Extreme Gaming.
GIGABYTE hasn't disclosed any pricing or availability details for the motherboard yet.
