Apparently GameStop will have exclusive trade offers, then, allowing customers to swap their current console hardware to buy an Xbox One X at a discount. A similar program was offered last year when the Xbox One S launched; at the time, you could get up to $200 in credit for trading a PlayStation 4 console, $150 for trading an Xbox One and $100 for a New 3DS XL or Nintendo Wii U.

Now that the PlayStation 4 Pro and Nintendo Switch consoles are available, though, it's likely that customers interested in trading those systems back could receive a larger credit.

Microsoft's Xbox One X is due to launch on November 7th, priced at $499. Crackdown 3 was supposed to launch on the same day, but it was just delayed to Spring 2018. According to Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter, this should not impact Xbox One X sales.

The Xbox One X is equipped with a custom Polaris-based AMD GPU and 40 Compute Units clocked at 1172 MHz, for a total of six teraflops of FP32 performance. It also has 12GB of GDDR5 memory (9 of them reserved exclusively for games), 326 GB/s of memory bandwidth and support for the HDMI 2.1 standard (which means potential support for FreeSync 2). Microsoft even employed a vapor chamber for cooling and managed to make this their smallest console yet.

Are you planning to reserve one once the pre-orders go live? Let us know in the comments.
