The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Could Finally Offer an Upgraded Form Factor with Wider Screen, Making The External Display Look and Feel Better in Hand

There is no denying that Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series is one of the best in the business when it comes to being a productivity powerhouse. Over the past couple of years, Samsung has tried its best to make it even better. However, we still don't have a built-in S Pen support for foldable, but that might change with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, based on the new patents.

We could finally see the S Pen attached to the Galaxy Fold 6 if these new patents are to be believed

The new patents filed by Samsung show that there are some possibilities of making the S Pen part of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Of course, these are still patents, and we are not sure if Samsung will ever utilize them, but I do like the ideas.

As you can see in the image above, the patent shows the possibility of a Galaxy Z Fold 6 with a stylus on the back. This will most probably be based on the same principle as we see on the Galaxy Tab series, and I am really digging this idea. However, I am concerned about how the phone's wireless charging will work if the stylus is placed on the back.

The second patent that you can look at above shows that there is another option that will drastically alter the form factor of the device, but it will allow Samsung to have a place for the S Pen on the side of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This will probably mean that the upper portion of the device will have a slightly wider screen when compared to the bottom portion. Honestly, this will preserve the wireless charging, too, but this will make the phone look very awkward, especially with the S Pen removed.

Honestly, I don't mind the first patent where the S Pen gets to sit on the back of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. I don't actively use wireless charging, so having that opportunity would be better for me. Samsung will, however, have to use really strong magnets to ensure that the S Pen simply does not fall off when you are taking the phone out of your pocket. The second patent also looks good, but it ends up making the phone look weird.

Again, these are just patents. There is still a possibility that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 might not have a slot for S Pen in any capacity, and if that happens, we will keep you posted. We are still a good chunk of time away from the release of the next generation of foldable devices, and as always, we will update you on any information that we come across.
