G.SKILL announces DDR5-6400 memory with up to 96 GB capacity configuration for the Intel Z890 and AMD X870 platforms carrying exceptionally low latency.
G.SKILL Unveils Trident Z5 RGB and Trident Z5 Royal Series 48 GB DDR5 Memory Modules with CL30 Latency
One of the leading memory manufacturers, G.SKILL, announced its latest DDR5 memory kits for Intel and AMD platforms. The company has introduced high-capacity and low-latency memory modules for intensive workloads and high-performance PCs, aiming to improve computing performance.
These kits feature up to 48 GB capacity on each module and are available in 2x 48 GB memory configuration for both Intel LGA 1851 and AMD AM5 platforms, particularly for the Z890 motherboards by Intel and X870/X870E by AMD. Clocked at 6400 MT/s transfer speeds, these memory kits also bring low latency of CL30 to deliver noticeable performance boosts over regular DIMMs.
In order to meet the demands of both mainstream and enthusiast users, these memory kits will be available under the Trident Z5 RGB and Trident Z5 Royal series respectively. For the Intel platform, these kits feature Intel XMP 3.0 support for easily reaching 6400 MT/s by simply turning on the XMP 3.0 feature from the BIOS. With a 96 GB memory configuration at 6400 MT/s speed, G.SKILL shows off an impressive CAS Latency of CL30-39-39-102.
The complete setup includes the ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Hero motherboard and Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor as you can see in the screenshot. Similarly, with a configuration consisting of ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Hero and Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, these RAM kits can achieve identical speed and latency on the AMD AM5 platform as well.
Apart from the 2x 48 GB kits, these 6400 MT/s DDR5 modules will also be available in different sizes, like 2x32 GB (64 GB), and 2x24 GB (48 GB) for those who want more affordable options for high-performance PC builds.
As per G.SKILL's announcement, both Trident Z5 RGB and Trident Z5 Royal series modules will be shipped to G.SKILL's partners and will be available in Q1 2025. G.SKILL hasn't disclosed the pricing and the exact date of availability but did announce a worldwide availability for these kits.
