Considered as one of the worst Android security bugs, Stagefright gives hackers unwanted access to your phone's storage without any phishing attempts, whatsoever. Prerequisites to update Galaxy S4 to M919UVUFOH3 Android 4.4.4:
Please check these prerequisites before going forward to the T-Mobile update guide for Galaxy S4.
- Download and install USB drivers for SGS4 in your computer.
- Make sure to take the backup of any important files on your smartphone.
- Enable USB debugging option by pressing Menu > Settings > Applications. Navigate and tap on Developer Options to ensure that USB Debugging is enabled.
- Ensure that your T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 carries more than 70% of charge.
How to update T-Mobile Galaxy S4 to M919UVUFOH3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat:
Required files: download the M919UVUFOH3 Android 4.4.4 firmware file for T-Mobile Galaxy S4 from here and extract .tar.md5 file. Also, download the Odin3 v3.09 for installation from here.
- Unzip Odin on your computer and install it.
- Switch your Samsung Galaxy S4 M919 off and boot it in Download mode: press and hold Volume Down, Power and Home buttons together.
- Connect your device with your computer. When connected successfully, you will get a message in Odin saying Added!!. (In case you don’t get it, try another USB port. If that doesn't help either, then re-install USB drivers).
- On your Odin, click on AP and select the. tar.md5 firmware file for Galaxy S4.
- Click on Start to initiate the update process.
- When Android 4.4.4 update installation is successfully completed, you will get a PASS message.
- You can now disconnect your Samsung Galaxy S4 and reboot it.
Note: In case your device gets stuck at boot screen after installation of firmware file, perform data wiping tasks: turn off S4 and reboot it into recovery mode. In recovery, select the wipe data/factory reset. Go back and reboot your smartphone.
