Square Enix game director and producer Yoshinori Kitase has detailed the new features that the Final Fantasy VIII Remaster will be receiving, including features exclusive to the PC version.
The remaster for PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch was announced at this year’s E3 event, and now we know which additional features it will offer.
Like the Final Fantasy VII and FF IX Remasters, Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will receive a triple-speed option, battle enhancements that will make battles easier, and an option that disables random enemy encounters.
While the above mentioned options will be included on all platforms, the PC version will be receiving some additional features, including an option to acquire all items, abilities, special moves and Triple Triad cards”. In addition, an option to max Gil, GF level and Magic will be included alongside highly customizable system settings.
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will release later this year.
