Amazon released new internal viewership data for the recently concluded Fallout Season 2, revealing that the show's season has already attracted around 83 million viewers globally. Of course, that doesn't mean they all watched the entire season; it's simply the number of Prime Video users who watched at least part of it.
Even with this caveat, Fallout Season 2 was the second-highest returning series on Prime Video, trailing only Reacher's second season (aired between 2023 and 2024). This is despite Amazon changing the format from the "binge" release of the debut season to weekly episodes for the second season. While the second season was running, Amazon also registered an uptick in viewership for the previous season. As a whole, the series has been at least partially watched by 100 million viewers.
Peter Friedlander, head of global television for Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement:
‘Fallout’ continues to resonate in a powerful way with our global Prime Video audience, and reaching 100 million viewers is a testament to the incredible creative vision of our collaborators at Kilter Films, Bethesda Game Studios, Geneva, Graham, and the entire cast and crew. We’re thrilled to see the franchise continue to grow as we head into Season 3.
Fallout Season 2 was comprised of eight episodes and ended on February 3, 2026. It added three renowned actors to the cast: Justin Theroux as Robert Edwin House, Macaulay Culkin as Lacerta Legate, and Kumail Nanjiani as Paladin Xander Harkness. The third season was already announced in May 2025, but the showrunners and main cast member Aaron Moten have suggested that it could run for up to five or even six seasons, thanks to its success.
