Facebook iOS App Updated With Video Recording And Voice Messaging Features

Jan 29, 2013 at 01:23am EST

The Facebook iOS app has just been updated with video recording, voice messaging, and other minor features.

The addition of the feature is probably a response to Twitter's new Vine app. Vine allows users to share short videos on the micro blogging network and easily browse for new ones using the app. With the recent success that Vine has had, it was only a matter of time before Facebook attempted to catch up.

The update also includes the ability to send voice messages to your friends - a feature that was recently made available in the Facebook Messenger app.

You can find the full change log below:

Share your moments with voice messages and video recordings right in the app.
• Send voice messages when you have more to say
• Record and share videos right from the app
• Share and connect with your favorite places using the improved Nearby tab

You can download the app here.
