Erying has launched its brand new MoDT motherboards based on Intel's Core Ultra 200H CPUs with up to 16 cores & attractive price points.

Erying Is The First Motherboard Maker To Offer Intel Core Ultra 200H CPUs In MoDT Flavors, Up To 285H & 120W TDP.

Last year, several manufacturers, including Erying, launched their first generation "Core Ultra" MoDT motherboards featuring up to the Core Ultra 9 185H CPU. This year, Erying is the first to introduce its next-generation MoDT motherboards, equipped with Intel's latest Core Ultra 200H CPUs.

The MoDT motherboard design has seen wide popularity among entry-level PC builders and even in the eCafe segment. These MoDT motherboards essentially stand for Mobile on Desktop, taking mobile chips such as Intel's Core Ultra 200H family, and equipping them on traditional desktop motherboards. These CPUs aren't equipped to an LGA-based socket but rather the same BGA socket that you'd find on laptops or mobile platforms, so upgrading them isn't possible, but MoDT designs are generally priced much lower than a traditional desktop CPU and motherboard combo, making them an attractive offering.

For its 2nd Gen Core Ultra MoDT designs, Erying has used the Intel Core Ultra 200H lineup with products including Core Ultra 5 225H, Core Ultra 5 235H, Core Ultra 7 255H, Core Ultra 7 265H, and up to the Core Ultra 9 285H flagship.

This means that Erying's latest MoDt motherboards will offer up to 16 cores, up to 5.4 GHz clocks, and up to 24 MB of L3 cache. Additionally, while the mobile chips are rated at 45W base power and up to 115W of Maximum Turbo Power, these MoDT motherboards are equipped with better power delivery, enabling up to 120W of power for the CPU alone, and with better cooling solutions, you can run them faster and cooler than laptops. These chips are also equipped with a faster Arc 140T GPU with up to 8 Xe+ cores, & clock up to 2.35 GHz.

As for Erying's MoDT motherboard itself, it is a mATX design with an 8-phase DrMOSFET power delivery that can handle up to 120W of CPU power. Expansion slots include a PCIe 4.0 x8 slot and a PCIe 4.0 x4 slot. There are also two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, and the VRMs are equipped with dedicated heatsinks. The power is delivered through standard ATX 24-Pin & 8-Pin connectors. There are also two SATA III pin slots.

For memory, the motherboard features two DDR5 DIMM slots, offering support for up to 128 GB DRAM capacities and up to 5600 MT/s speeds. I/O on the motherboard includes two USB 2.0, two USB 3.2 Gen2, two HDMI outputs, a single DP output, a 2.5GbE LAN port, an expansion slot for a WIFI card (not included), and a 3-channel audio jack.

The motherboard manufacturer has also shared some CPU and gaming performance figures. The new chips offer much better single-core performance and decent MT performance versus the prior gen, while the integrated graphics sees a huge jump.

The company even paired the MoDT with a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, which enables solid gaming performance in AAA titles such as Cyberpunk 2077.

The most important factor of Erying's MoDT motherboards featuring the Intel Core Ultra 200H CPUs is the pricing, and the company has stated that these boards will start at under 1000 RMB or $140 US. The flagship 285H solution is priced around 2000 RMB, which puts it around $300 US, a very nice price given you're getting both the CPU and the motherboard in a single package.
