Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

The Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree may not be releasing anytime soon, judging from the comments made by FromSoftware Lead Producer Yasuhiro Kitao in a recent interview.

According to what the developer told Game Watch during the PS Award 2023 event, the highly-anticipated expansion is still a little ways off, but development is progressing well, which is something we have heard multiple times in the past few weeks. Yasuhiro Kitao didn't add more about the expansion outside of the obvious new battles and new characters, so what Shadow of the Erdtree is all about remains a mystery.

While the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is still away from release, the game may be about to get some additional content soon. The game's Steam release has seen some activity last month, suggesting FromSoftware may be testing and debugging some features that could be coming soon to the game.
