Apple releases iOS 17.2, iPadOS 17.2, watchOS 10.2, macOS Sonoma 14.2, and tvOS 17.2 beta 3 to developers

Apple has released beta 3 of its upcoming iOS 17.2, watchOS 10.2, macOS Sonoma 14.2, and tvOS 17.2 to developers. You can download and install the latest build on your compatible devices for free if you are a developer.

iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2 beta 3 can be downloaded on compatible iPhone and iPad models through the stock Settings app on your device. Head to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and download iOS 17.2 beta 3 on your iPhone or iPad. Ensure your Apple ID is linked to your Developer account to receive the update over the air.

Apple has also released watchOS 10.2 beta 3 alongside iOS 17.2, which can be downloaded over the air on all compatible Apple Watch models. Launch the dedicated Apple Watch app on your iPhone, head to General > Software Update > Beta Updates, and download watchOS 10.2 beta 3. Before you do so, ensure your Apple Watch has over 50 percent battery life and is connected to a power source. Your Apple Watch should be in the range of your iPhone and connected to a secure Wi-Fi connection.

Alongside iOS 17.2 beta 3, Apple has also released macOS Sonoma 14.2 to developers for testing. You can download the latest beta using the Software Update mechanism in System Settings. If you are a developer, toggle on the Sonoma Developer Beta in the Beta Updates tab to receive the update over the air. Also, your Apple ID should be linked to your Developer Account.

The company has also seeded tvOS 17.2 beta 3, which can be downloaded and installed on all compatible models of the Apple TV. You must opt into the beta through the Settings app on your Apple TV to receive the over-the-air update. The company also saw fit to release beta 6 of visionOS to developers. However, it remains to be seen what the latest beta includes as the device has not yet been released.
