The Dishonored series by Arkane is soon getting expanded with a brand new standalone title called Dishonored Death of the Outsider launching later this year on PC and consoles.

The Dishonored Death of the Outsider expansion will put players in the shoes of Dreadful Whale Captain Meagan Foster, who was the assassin Billy Lurk in a previous life and task them with taking down the Outsider, the immortal and powerful entity that grants select citizens of Dunwall with magic powers.

The notorious Billie Lurk makes her return in Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. Reuniting with her mentor – the legendary assassin Daud – Billie will explore the dark underbelly of Karnaca in order to pull off the ultimate assassination: kill the Outsider.
From the award-winning developers at Arkane Studios, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is the first standalone adventure in the critically acclaimed Dishonored series.
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider will be available on September 15, 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Being a standalone title, Dishonored Death of the Outsider won't require Dishonored 2, but it seems like players who experienced the latest entry in the series will be able to get more out of the expansion, as it's set after the events of Dishonored 2.

Dishonored Death of the Outsider launches on September 15th on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
