Dell's 14 Plus 2-in-1 AI PCs are now also available with AMD's latest Ryzen AI 300 processors for those who want powerful AI PCs on a budget.

Dell usually updates its laptop lineups almost every year, based on AMD and Intel's latest offerings. The company has already launched its Core Ultra Series 2-based laptops and now it's time for the AMD-based systems that can deliver competitive AI performance on a budget.

AMD's top-of-the-line Strix Halo and Strix Point have already been deployed in a lot of premium segment laptops, but this is the first time Dell has introduced the more affordable Krackan Point series. Dell has introduced the upgraded 14 Plus 2-in-1 versatile laptops with the AMD Ryzen AI 300 chips, featuring up to 50 NPU TOPs of AI performance for those who need to be ahead of others.

The laptop is known for its versatile design and can be used as a regular laptop or in a tablet mode since it brings a 360-degree hinge. The laptop offers a 14-inch display with 1920x1200p resolution and a max brightness of 300 nits. It has a touchscreen display, ensuring you can be as fast as possible on the go and be quick at carrying out tasks while at the office or on travel.

The laptop is compact and lightweight, weighing just 1.59 kg, making it highly portable but this doesn't affect its computing capabilities. Packed with either a 6-core/12-thread Ryzen AI 5 340 or an 8-core/16-thread Ryzen AI 7 350 processor, it brings the power of Zen 5 architecture to deliver faster performance in all types of workloads. On top of that, each configuration carries either AMD Radeon 840M or Radeon 860M to keep up with the modern graphical workloads, including light gaming.

The laptop will ship with different configurations, featuring 512 GB, 1 TB, or 2 TB storage, but the memory capacity will be fixed at 16 GB LPDDR5X 7500 MT/s. This memory will be onboard and cannot be upgraded to 32 GB or higher. Therefore, it is only suitable for light and medium-intensive tasks and will be best for office-goers, students, or casual gamers.

Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 is an all-round laptop with excellent battery life and can run at up to 19 hours, competing with Lunar Lake-based laptops. Lastly, users will get decently fast connectivity ports on both sides, including Type A and Type C ports for peripherals, HDMI 1.4 for display, and WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity.
