It seems that Namco Bandai and From Software are really pushing the limit with the PC community by making the PC version of Dark Souls nothing more than a complete copy of the XBOX 360 version of the game, The game MIGHT not have an adjustable resolution and will be locked at 720p (This could more likely be texture quality rather than game resolution) and what makes the deal even "better" is the game will be locked at 30 FPS. But this shouldn't be much of a problem for the PC community who can surely find a way to go around this and beat the system,
In his interview with Famitsu Miyazaki states: (Quote courtesy of Source)
- The PC version, Will be something I added additional elements while faithfully ported version of the 360 version PS3, Xbox?
Goh British Miyazaki (hereinafter, Miyazaki ) Yes. Basically will be faithful to transplantation.Nor does it change it does not have the resolution, frame rate that becomes 60
While the game will come with additional content for the PC players as an added "bonus" I would say that the price that comes with the game such as locked FPS, resolution and the possible implementation of GFWL will definitely upset a lot of PC gamers. So far it would seem ridiculous of them to lock the game resolution so the interview probably means they are locking the "texture quality" at 720p.
