Missing the early weekend release window of the previous major patches, the Crimson Desert 1.06.00 patch is now live across PC and consoles, introducing yet another highly requested feature by the community - the Extraction feature that essentially rolls back weapon upgrades to receive materials back - new Special Mounts and the one feature no one would have expected to see in the game: a gacha vending machine.

The new patch significantly expands the Special Mounts options, allowing you to register Bears, Boars, Wolves, Deer, Mountain Goats, Kuku Birds, Raptors, Camels, Lions, and Tigers as a mount after subduing and feeding them. Further tweaking the Special Mounts mechanics, Pearl Abyss has added a new tab for them in the Inventory Menu, and removed saddles as default appearance, allowing you to equip and purchase saddles for them from select shops.

The new Crimson Desert feature that will make most players happy is the Extraction feature, not to be confused with a play mode inspired by the likes of ARC Raiders and Escape from Tarkov.

With so much gear available in the game (whose value mostly lies in its appearance), it was very time-consuming to gather all the materials to enhance multiple pieces, so this Extraction feature is extremely welcome.

Rounding up the new additions are new unarmed combat skills for Oongka, sheaths for swords, a new Sigil of Valor item that will make pet dogs attack enemies when equipped, and the most surprising addition of all, a claw machine added at the Laughing Marionette. By spending one silver, you can get rewards including 12 types of lighting items, 1 type of chair, 1 type of special headgear, Abyss Artifacts, and Abyss Gears.

The full patch notes on Crimson Desert's official website detail the other improvements included in the new patch, such as improved equipment and select combat actions, and more.
