Crimson Desert

Today, Pearl Abyss has revealed detailed PC, console, and macOS specifications for its highly anticipated upcoming open world action/adventure game Crimson Desert. The minimum and recommended system requirements for PC were actually first announced (and then lowered) months ago, but this time the South Korean development team has provided much more in-depth information for gamers on how the game powered by the BlackSpace engine will run on their systems.

Pearl Abyss also shared detailed specifications for the console versions of Crimson Desert. Fans had criticized the development team for not showing enough footage from these versions of their game, but at least now they can check out the exact specifications. Owners of the most powerful console on the market, Sony's PlayStation 5 Pro, can look forward to the upgraded PSSR upscaler, which can reach 40 FPS when upscaling from 1440p resolution and 60 FPS (and more with VRR enabled) when upscaling from 1080p. Both modes also include Ray Tracing set to High. A Quality mode runs at native 4K with Ray Tracing Ultra, but it's stuck to 30 frames per second.

Conversely, owners of the least powerful console (Microsoft's Xbox Series S) will have to deal with 720p@40FPS or 1080p@30FPS, and ray tracing has been disabled, too.
