A few hundred dollars more already seems significant, but a price increase of over $1000 is crazy.

Corsair Flagship Configuration for AI Workstation 300 Now Costs $3399 Instead of $2299

The cost of PC hardware continues to climb, and once again, a major vendor has raised prices on its high-end workstation PCs. Corsair's one of the most powerful AI workstation PCs has seen an unexpected and significant price hike. The company launched its AI Workstation 300 Desktop PC last year, starting at $1599, featuring Ryzen AI Max processors. Due to the DRAM and SSD shortages/high prices, the product has been affected greatly.

While the majority of PC hardware has already experienced price increases, including GPUs, pre-built PCs, mini PCs, and laptops, we have never seen such a steep price hike as Corsair's AI Workstation. The AI Workstation 300 Desktop PC features two different processors and has different memory and storage configurations as well. The base configuration, featuring the Ryzen AI MAX 385 with 64 GB LPDDR5X memory and 1 TB of storage, has climbed up by a generous $100.

This doesn't seem much, but when you move to the next configuration, the price suddenly jumps from $1,999 to a whopping $2,699, featuring the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, 128 GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 1 TB of storage. It's almost as if the additional 64 GB RAM has caused a $500-$600 price hike, assuming the 1 TB storage price was doubled. But when you switch to the flagship configuration, featuring the same processor, RAM, and 4 TB of storage, the price goes up by a whopping $1,100.

  1. Ryzen AI Max 385 + 64 GB + 1 TB = $1,599 -> $1,699
  2. Ryzen AI Max+ 395 + 128 GB + 1 TB = $1,999 -> $2,299
  3. Ryzen AI Max+ 395 + 128 GB + 4 TB = $2,299 -> $3,399

So, right now, the best configuration is available at $3,399 while it originally launched at just $2,299. This price hike highlights the impact of the current DRAM and SSD shortages that aren't sparing any segment. Whether you are buying a GPU, a pre-built system, or a workstation mini PC, everything has gone super expensive. The prices in most regions are still climbing, but some vendors have been implementing sudden and dramatic price hikes for their products.
