The flagship X870E motherboard brings a robust VRM, built-in display, and excellent support for high-speed DDR5 memory.
Colorful Debuts iGame X870E VULCAN OC That Broke Ryzen 9800X3D Frequency World Record at 7335.48 MHz
Colorful Technology has officially released its most powerful 800-series motherboard yet. This is the flagship iGame X870E VULCAN OC, which previously appeared on top of the HWBot leaderboard for making a new world record for achieving the highest frequency on the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The motherboard pushed the processor to a whopping 7335.48 MHz, which still stands as the best frequency record for the chip.
Thanks to its robust 18+2+2 power phase VRM with 110A DrMOS stages, the iGame X870E VULCAN OC is one of the strongest overclocking motherboards out there that not only pushes processors to their limits, but also has an incredible potential for breaking records on memory overclocking. The board features just 2x DIMM DDR5 slots and can support up to 10400 MT/s in dual-channel mode. Plus, it's equipped with modern connectivity features, powerful onboard utility, and impressive RGB lighting and LCD for enthusiasts.
The board offers a customizable iGame Smart LCD with a 268x800 pixel resolution for system monitoring, but users can display their favorite images or GIFs. The motherboard also has integrated iGame RGB lightning, which can be controlled via software for mesmerizing effects. Apart from great aesthetics, the board has dense and well-grooved heatsinks for continuous heat dissipation.
The iGame X870E VULCAN OC brings dual BIOS support for hardware switching, a DEBUG LED for troubleshooting, and multiple onboard shortcut buttons for overclocking and adjustments. Unlike X870E motherboards, this one brings just a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for the GPU, but has 5x M.2 slots, and 4x SATA ports for the storage. For connectivity, users will get the WiFi 7 built-in adapter, a 5GbE LAN, and plenty of USB Type A and C ports.
Colorful hasn't disclosed any information on its pricing and availability yet.
