COLORFUL Introduces Rimbook L1 Laptop, Boasting Core i5 12450H, 16 GB RAM, WiFi 6, and Modern High Speed Type-C Port
One of the popular Chinese hardware manufacturers, COLORFUL, has debuted a new laptop series for users who are tight on budget but want decent specifications without breaking the bank. Meet the Rimbook Series, which offers a standard configuration with a starting price of just $399. The Rimbook series currently has only one model, called the L1, which brings the power of Intel Alder Lake.
Inspired by the rim of a wheel, the Rimbook symbolizes continuous motion and progress, embodying the spirit of moving forward with purpose and innovation.

Rimbook L1 laptop is powered by the Core i5 12450H CPU, which is a budget 8-core/12-thread CPU, featuring a hybrid architecture with 4x Performance and 4x Efficient cores. The laptop will utilize the integrated UHD graphics for carrying out the graphical workloads, and through this configuration, COLORFUL Rimbook L1 will be able to achieve higher power efficiency and longer battery life.
The Rimbook L1 has a 180-degree Hinge, enabling it to lie flat on the desk, and offers a minimalistic design with a grey chassis. The screen offers a 15.6-inch display with full HD resolution capped at a 60Hz refresh rate. Its core configuration brings a 16 GB DDR4 + 512 GB SSD combo to get the job done and for connectivity, users will get the fast WiFi 6 adapter and a 2.5 Gb LAN port for high-speed internet.
For peripheral connectivity, there are a couple of USB ports, including Type A 3.2 Gen 1, 2x Type 1 2.0, and two Type C ports (1x USB C 3.2 Gen 1 and 1x USB C 2.0). For display output, it's equipped with a single HDMI 1.4 port and has a 3.5mm jack for audio as well. Since the laptop brings a pretty standard configuration, it measures less than 2 cm and weighs only 1.7 kg, making it highly portable.
This particular configuration is available at $399 excluding TAX, and has been launched in the Philippines. However, the availability in other regions will be announced soon.
