Colorful Introduces Battle-AX B860M-Plus S and B760M-Plus S Motherboards With WiFi 7 and PCIe Gen 5.0 Support for Intel 12th/13th/4th gen and Core Ultra 200S Series

Chinese hardware maker Colorful has introduced two new motherboards in the Battle-AX series. While most manufacturers are releasing boards for the newer Arrow Lake processors, Colorful has introduced new motherboard models for both Arrow Lake and 12th/13th/14th gen processors. Both motherboards are aimed at the budget segment, featuring the B860 and B760 chipsets.

The Battle-AX B760M-Plus S WiFi7 is the latest offering in the micro-ATX lineup, featuring support for Intel's Alder Lake and Raptor Lake/Refresh processors, for those who want to stay with the previous gen for cost-effective PC builds. As DDR5 prices continue to rise, the B760M-Plus S WiFi 7 offers the older DDR4 platform, enabling users to significantly reduce expenses. The biggest improvement or upgrade on the Battle-AX B760M-Plus S over existing LGA 1700 motherboards is the presence of WiFi 7, which offers improved reliability and bandwidth for wireless internet connectivity.

The B760M-Plus S also brings the latest PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for modern GPUs such as RTX 50 series and RX 9000 series. The motherboard brings 3x m.2 PCIe 4.0 ports and 4x SATA ports for storage, and support for up to 128 GB DDR4 RAM clocked at up to 4800 MHz. On the other side, the Battle-AX B860M-Plus S is a competitive budget motherboard, featuring support for DDR5 memories with up to 192 GB capacity and transfer speeds of up to 8800 MT/s. Not only does this motherboard bring a PCIe 5.0 interface for the GPU slot, but also for the primary M.2 slot.

Apart from one PCIe 5.0 x4 slot for SSD, it also brings two more m.2 slots with PCIe Gen 5.0 interface. This motherboard also gets the latest WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and a faster 5G LAN. For those who want to stay with the latest and the fastest Intel processors and DDR5 platform, the B860M-Plus S WiFi 7 offers an affordable option for those who want a compact and good set of features.

Colorful hasn't disclosed the pricing and availability of both motherboards in the press release, but shall do in the coming days.
