Colorful has introduced its flagship iGame X870E Vulcan OC V14 motherboards for AM5 builders, bringing up to DDR5-10000 support.

Colorful's iGame X870E Vulcan OC V14 Features High-End Overclocking Capabilities With Dual-DIMM Design & Powerful 22-Phase "110A" Power Delivery

The Colorful iGame X870E Vulcan OC is a flagship motherboard designed for overclockers, enthusiasts, and gamers. The motherboard has a lot of features, but the primary highlight is that it's part of the Vulcan line, which is known to offer fantastic designs across various products, including GPUs. As such, this board is a jam-packed offering. We know from experience with previous Vulcan offerings that these motherboards are designed with lots of features.

Starting with the details, the iGame X870E Vulcan OC V14 motherboard features an AM5 socket that supports current and upcoming Ryzen CPUs. The CPU socket is powered by a dual 8-pin connector configuration. The motherboard houses a high-end 18+2+2 (110A) power delivery, which is designed for overclocking. There are also two DDR5 DIMM slots, which make memory overclocking a breeze thanks to higher signal integrity and the 1DPC design.

In terms of memory support, the motherboard offers up to 10,000 MT/s+ speeds with the Ryzen 8000G lineup, up to 8600 MT/s+ speeds with the Ryzen 9000 lineup & up to 8000 MT/s+ speeds with the Ryzen 7000 lineup. Both XMP and EXPO profiles are supported.

Expansion includes a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and a PCIe x16 slot rated at Gen 4.0 x4 speeds. There are also five M.2 slots on the motherboard, which include three Gen5x4 and two Gen4x4 slots. The PCIe 5.0 x16 slot shares bandwidth with two Gen5x4 M.2 slots, and in case those are populated, the slot will be operated at x8 mode. The motherboard also comes with several EZ release mechanisms, including one for the primary PCIe slot. The heatsink covers for the M.2 slots also feature EZ release, while the second PCIe slot is hidden underneath a plastic cover.

The design on the Colorful iGame X870E Vulcan OC V14 is very nice, featuring several RGB zones on the IO plate, the PCH, and there's even an LCD cover next to the DIMM slots, which features easy access keys such as Power and Reset. There's a DEBUG LED followed by several fan and USB headers. The full list of connectors on the motherboard includes:

As for the rear IO, you get:

Besides these, the motherboard features a 256 MB BIOS and comes in the standard ATX form factor. The wireless capabilities include WIFI7 with Bluetooth 5.4 support, and wired networking is offered by a 5GbE LAN port. Audio is powered by the Realtek ALC1220 chipset with ES2919Q AMP (7.1 Channel). There's no word on the availability or pricing of the motherboard, but it should be placed in the enthusiast category and will be primarily sold in APAC regions.
