One of the highlights of the Galaxy S24 announcement was the new circle-to-search feature, which would allow you to simply draw up a circle around anything on the screen, and it would then use Google's AI magic to bring up all the relevant searches pertinent to that product. It was evident that Samsung took great help from Google to make that happen, and because of Google's influence, the feature is now rolling out to Pixel 8 users.
The Pixel 8 users will soon be able to enjoy the circle-to-search feature as it is now rolling out in stages
The circle-to-search feature is honestly one of the many AI features that actually do not feel like a gimmick. If you are looking to make your experience on the internet or your smartphone even more intuitive, this is one of those features that I even see myself using, considering how I am looking at so many watches and other products on the internet that sometimes require me to search deeply to figure out what I am looking at. Now, Pixel 8 users can rejoice as this feature is rolling out and should roll out in the coming days.
Using circle-to-search is super easy. All you need to do is long-press the navigation bar on your Pixel 8 phone from the bottom screen, and you are good to go. Keep in mind that there is no indicator that the feature is available on the Pixel 8 series, as it is not something that gets enabled specifically. This means that if you are long pressing and it is still not showing up, the feature is not yet available, and you will have to wait a while longer before it finally becomes available on your device.
Considering how AI has managed to find a common place for itself within the world of technology, one should not really be surprised by the fact that the Pixel 8 series and the Galaxy S24 series are getting a host of AI-based features. This is just the start, and we can expect countless more features that are going to be way more advanced to make their way to these devices. Currently, you need some strong-performing chipsets for AI-driven tasks, but we are also going to see AI make its way to more affordable devices in the future and that will only increase the likelihood of more and more people using the features.
