Lisuan Tech has launched the latest Gaming Graphics Card for the Chinese markets, the 7G100 Extreme Founders Edition, which is priced around $500.
The Lisuan 7G100 Was Looking To Be A Great Graphics Card For Chinese Gamers, But Launch Reviews Show Otherwise
In March, Chinese tech company Lisuan Tech unveiled its brand new consumer/prosumer lineup based on its 7G106 GPU. The lineup included four models, three of which were aimed at the Pro/AI segments, & just one that was aimed at the gaming segment. The gaming variant was the Lisuan Extreme "LX 7G100" graphics card, which was specifically designed with gamers in mind and supports all the latest APIs and game engines.
Lisuan Extreme 7G100 Graphics Card Specs
In terms of specifications, the Lisuan Extreme is powered by the 6nm 7G106 GPU and is the company's first true graphics card design for gamers. This graphics card features 12 GB of GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit bus interface and PCIe 4.0 x16 compliance. The graphics card comes with a total of 192 TMUs, 96 ROPs, and has a maximum TDP of 225W, powered by a single 12-pin connector.
In terms of design, the graphics card will come in a dual-slot form factor with three fans, of which two are covered by the top grill. The graphics card features four DisplayPort 1.4a outputs, supports up to 8K60Hz HDR Freesync functionality with AV1 4K@30 FPS Encode, HEVC 8K@30FPS Encode, and AVI/HEVC 8K/60FPS Decode.
It also supports all modern APIs such as DX12, Vulkan 1.3, OpenGL 4.6, and OpenCL 3.0. The GPU is one of the first domestic products to receive WHQL certification by Microsoft.
Lisuan 7G100 Graphics Card Game Support & Performance
Unlike previous domestic offerings, the Lisuan Extreme GPU was said to feature out-of-the-box support for the latest AAA games, including Baldur's Gate III, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Black Myth: Wukong, The Witcher III, Monster Hunter RISE, Resident Evil 4, and SEKIRO (to name a few).
Based on previous demos, the 7G100 was estimated to offer performance close to an RTX 4060, but these demos were only conducted in synthetic applications such as Geekbench OpenCL & 3DMark benchmarks.
The Real Story
We were excited to finally see a graphics card from someone besides the top three: NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel, that would offer competitive performance to gamers. But as per the latest benchmarks shared by 潮玩客 at Bilibili, the LG7100 Extreme looks underwhelming.
In 3DMark tests, the Lisuan Extreme LX 7G100 is worse or on par with the RTX 3060, the same RTX 3060 that launched five years ago. Once again, these are synthetic benchmarks, so let's move over to actual games.
In games, the GPU performed way worse. In Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p, the graphics card only managed 88 FPS on average, while a 5-year-old RX 6600 XT delivered over 200 FPS. In none of the games did the Lisuan LX 7G100 come close to 3-5 year old GPUs such as the RX 6600 XT, RTX 3060, RTX 4060. Whether FSR was used, or standard TAA or no Anti-aliasing, the performance was the same; the rest of the GPUs ended over twice as fast.
The only good thing to say about the graphics card is that there were no crashes or major driver issues with game compatibility. Games did run, it's just that the performance wasn't there or not at a desired level. Ray Tracing isn't supported by the hardware itself, and other issues include lots of stuttering and poor frame-pacing within games. These can be rectified with future driver updates, but as a launch, the Chinese audiences still do not have access to a gaming graphics card that can compete with NVIDIA, Intel, or AMD.

Pricing Makes It Worse
And the cherry on top is the pricing. Lisuan has the Founders Edition currently listed for 3299 RMB at JD. This is limited to 1000 units and converts to $500 US, which is around the same price as the RTX 5060 Ti.
The card does offer 12 GB memory, but certain 5060 Ti models can be found for 2999-3099 RMB & also deliver way faster performance with RT/PT support, great AI compute capabilities, & solid game support through drivers. Even the Arc B580, which is much lower in price, is a better value with the same 12 GB of VRAM. A special pricing of 2969 for pre-orders is mentioned which is still higher given the performance of the graphics card, and the first GPUs will be shipped out on 22nd May.
To make matters worse, NVIDIA is exploring the idea of resurrecting its RTX 3060 12 GB gaming graphics card for consumers as the tight memory supply grips the market, leading to higher prices. If the RTX 3060 12 GB does arrive at a competitive price, then that would put more pressure on Lisuan's latest gaming card.
But at the same time, Lisuan did manage to deliver an upgrade to existing Chinese GPUs, which even lacked basic driver and game support. Plus, China is doubling down on in-house and domestic products while banning consumer-tier products from offshore brands such as NVIDIA. So Lisuan will be able to find a big domestic market for its latest gaming graphics card.
