The Vision Pro is a technologically advanced headset that is taking the AR industry by storm. Apple has delivered a product that is more capable than the competition, but the price point is a little out of range for many users who wish to get it. Coming in at $3,499 for the base model, the Vision Pro is not easy to get, and if you think this is expensive, you might want to stay clear of Caviar's 18K gold rendition of the headset. Caviar has modded the Vision Pro in a way that it screams luxury and also comes at a luxury price tag, but it is not for the masses.
If you think the Apple Vision Pro is expensive, you should stay away from Caviar's modification of the headset with 18-karat gold
The Vision Pro features powerful internals and a stunning display that brings the augmented reality experience to life, as we have seen in various tests and reviews. As great as the product is, it is still inaccessible to some users due to its hefty price tag, given there are cheaper options available from Meta. Caviar is planning to release its own modded version of the Vision Pro with 18-karat gold next year, which will cost you a lot more than the headset's highest configuration option from Apple.
If you have not checked it out earlier, Caviar's rendition of the headset comes with Connolly leather coupled with a gold visor cover, which is inspired by the "Top Ford flip-up glasses and Gucci ski masks." While the product is not for everyone, it does look pretty good in a gold finish. Caviar has a reason to incorporate a visor on the Vision Pro, as the original product only comes with a front glass. According to the company, not all users want their eyes to be on display when using the headset, and the gold cover will prevent it from showing.
Caviar is not looking to mass produce the Apple Vision Pro CVR edition as the niche is too small and the price is too high. Apple sells the Vision Pro for $3,499 for the base model, which is still quite expensive for the average user, and covering the headset with 18K gold only makes it more inaccessible. Caviar is only looking to produce 24 units of its rendition, which is estimated to be available early next year.
You can request the price of the headset from Caviar's website, but the Vision Pro with 18K gold is listed at $40,000 elsewhere. Caviar is known for its high-end modifications, and the company recently transformed the iPhone 15 Pro to match the design of the Vision Pro, which costs $8,060. Would you consider buying an 18-karat gold Vision Pro?
