Apple has finally released its next round of beta updates to developers, seeding iOS 17.5 beta 3 and additional updates. These will be available to the general public next month or so. The latest beta updates can be downloaded and installed on all compatible Apple devices right now for free and over the air. Apple will possibly release the upcoming updates around its May 7 event.
iOS 17.5, iPadOS 17.5, watchOS 10.5, macOS 14.5, tvOS 17.5, and visionOS 1.2 beta 3 released to developers for testing purposes
Registered developers can download iOS 17.5 beta 3 over the air, as Apple has made it simpler for users to install beta updates on their respective devices. You must ensure your Apple ID is connected to your developer account to receive the update in the Settings app. Head over to General > Software Update > Beta Updates, and install the latest beta on your iPhone or iPad.
watchOS 10.5 beta 3 is also available alongside iOS 17.5, which can be installed on all compatible Apple Watch models through the dedicated Apple Watch app on your iPhone. The beta will be available over the air in General > Software Update > Beta Updates. You can download it after connecting your Apple ID to your developer account. Before you install the latest beta, you must note that your Apple Watch should have more than 50 percent battery life and be placed on a charger. Furthermore, it should be in the range of your iPhone and connected to the internet.
macOS 14.5 beta 3 can be downloaded on your Mac through the Software Update mechanism in System Settings. It is unclear what the latest beta has in store for users, but we will update you as soon as additional details are available. Like all other updates, your Apple ID should be associated with your developer account.
Apple has also released tvOS 17.5 to the developer community, which can be downloaded on all compatible Apple TV models by opting into the beta through Settings. tvOS 17.5 will bring some minor additions to the Apple TV in terms of functionality.
visionOS 1.2 beta 3 is now also available to download through the Settings app, and since the device is relatively new, the update will fix under-the-hood issues and bugs. All that you have to do is toggle on the beta to receive the update over the air. The update will potentially bring performance enhancements and bug fixes to the table. We will update you on what is new in the latest version as soon as developers are done tinkering with the new build.
