Beeper Mini & Beeper Cloud Are Once More Down, Company Believes Apple Is Blocking Android Users From Receiving Messages

Beeper Mini is once more down

Apple previously confirmed that it had shut down Beeper Mini’s iMessage feature for Android because it wanted to preserve the security and privacy of its users. Beeper Mini did not appear discouraged by this move as it promised a software fix to bring the service back online, and it did. However, the service appears to be inactive once again, with only a handful of users being able to send and receive messages, and Beeper Mini thinks that Apple is behind this act.

Beeper Mini remains committed but states that it currently does not have a fix to bring back Beeper Cloud online

Previously, Beeper Mini was able to scale through Apple’s security measures by removing phone number support from the service, forcing users to sign in using an Apple ID. While this move was successful, the victory was short-lived, as Apple found a way through Beeper Mini’s fix and blocked the service once again. On X, the company believes that the Cupertino giant is behind all of this and states that only 5 percent of users registered on the service can send and receive iMessages.

For the time being, Beeper Mini says that uninstalling and re-installing the application fixes the problem, but some users might still be unable to send and receive texts. The company says that it is working to isolate the problem and issue a fix, though it does not have a solution at this time. It is unclear how long Beeper Mini can keep this up against Apple, as the latter has made it pretty clear that it will not back down in protecting the security and privacy of its users.

This only means that even if Beeper Mini and Beeper Cloud can be restored to their original functionality, Android users will continue to face service disruption at some point or another. We have also mentioned previously that there could be an imminent lawsuit inbound, and Beeper Mini may not have the monetary muscle to back up its stance in court.
