The new lineup of Pocket handhelds was launched by AYANEO in collaboration with Qualcomm, bringing the power of the Snapdragon G3 gaming platform.
AYANEO Launches Snapdragon G3-Powered Pocket S2 PRO, Pocket DS, and KONKR Pocket FIT, Offering Smooth 1080p Gaming Performance and Modern Controls
At the ChinaJoy event, the popular gaming handheld maker, AYANEO, showcased its newest handheld editions, featuring a powerful Snapdragon G3 gaming platform. AYANEO has a variety of gaming handhelds in its arsenal, and the currently most powerful handhelds it offers utilize AMD's SoC. By collaborating with Qualcomm, the new Pocket handhelds will now offer Snapdraon's latest G3 Gen 3 SoC, bringing an 8-core Kryo CPU and Adreno A33 GPU to carry out intensive gaming operations.
Not only do these handhelds bring incredibly powerful hardware inside a small chassis, but they also bring the latest connectivity options such as WiFi 7. The new lineup includes AYANEO's top-of-the-line offering called Pocket S2 Pro, which resembles the Pocket S handheld a lot. The Pocket S uses Snapdragon G3x Gen 2, but the S2 Pro upgrades to the latest Gen 3 platform, offering the best possible gaming performance. The screen size is slightly increased from 6-inches to 6.3-inches and the resolution remains the same at 1440p.
The S2 Pro brings an IPS bezel-less mirror screen for good immersion and uses a CNC arc aluminum chassis for durability and a premium look. The battery life is hugely improved over the Pocket S, which uses a 6000 mAh battery, but the S2 Pro brings a whopping 10,000 mAh battery, which can last for several more hours.
The next is Pocket DS, which is supposedly the world's first flip dual-screen Android handheld. Two weeks ago, ONEXPlayer introduced the world's first dual-screen Android handheld as well, but the flip mechanism both are different. Nonetheless, the Pocket DS resembles the design of the AYANEO FLIP, which uses AMD's Ryzen 7 8840U. However, the new Pocket DS will use the Snapdragon G3 platform, but a lot of features and specifications are similar to the FLIP. This includes a 1080p 7-inch display but now it runs at a higher 165Hz refresh rate compared to 120Hz on the FLIP. The secondary screen is also 1.5 inches larger than the FLIP and offers better immersion.
The third one is the Pocket FIT, which is released under the sub-brand KONKR, offering the Snapdragon G3 gaming platform, capped at 20W, similar to the other two. It looks a lot like the Pocket EVO and is available in three different colors: Black, White, and Yellow. Equipped with a good 1080p 6-inch 144Hz screen and a large 8000 mAh battery, it's going to offer hours of uninterrupted fun.
