Asus has finally unveiled the much-awaited Zenfone 11 Ultra, and this time, you will get an excellent phone packed to the brim with the latest specifications. The phone comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, AI functionality, and a design that is familiar to anyone who is used to Asus' products. Sadly, we are not getting a compact flagship this time around, which is a sad thing because it has become a signature for Asus at this point.
The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra means business but has a very familiar design that you might not like
So, how is the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra in terms of the design? Well, if you are familiar with the ROG Phone 8 Pro that the company brought out, then this is the same phone but with some really obvious cosmetic changes. It is almost as if the ROG Phone 8 Pro decided to go to a liberal arts college and get a nice coat of paint. You do not get the same gamer-esque features, but you do get everything else.
On the front, you get a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The display goes as bright as 2,500 nits, which is plenty. You also get Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front, with a 32-megapixel camera in the hole-punch on the front, giving the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra a very modern look.
The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra also brings a triple camera setup on the back, with the primary camera being a 50-megapixel, tried-and-tested Sony IMX890. The camera is stabilized with a 6-axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 3.0. You are also getting a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom. The camera system is not a flagship, but it will get the job done for those who are looking for decent pictures.
The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra also has a lot of AI under the hood. You are getting Bokeh in Portrait Video mode, face tracking, transcript in sounds, call translation, noise cancellation, and AI wallpaper. Of course, it is not as full-fledged as some of the other AI-based services that are available on other devices, but it should do the job for those who are looking for a taste of it.
Powering the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is a 5,500 mAh battery with 65W wired and 15W wireless charging. There is no charger in the box, but you do get a USB Type-C cable. The device also has all the connectivity options, such as a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and more.
The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is available in Skyline Blue, Eternal Black, Misty Grey, and Desert Sand. If you are looking to get your hands on the device, you can get it at a starting price of €999. There is also a €100 discount if you preorder the device, so if you are looking to save money, this actually is a compelling offering that you can go for.
