ASUS B850M AYW Gaming OC WiFi7 Helps Tony Break Several Cinebench World Records When Paired With Ryzen 9800X3D, 9700X, and 9900X3D

Popular hardware maker, ASUS, recently unveiled its most powerful budget offering, called the B850M AYW Gaming OC WiFi7 motherboard, which specializes in overclocking. It's special because it costs less than $200 while offering competitive overclocking capabilities, which go head-to-head with the premium X870E options. Pre-launch, we saw the motherboard pushing DDR5 memory to 8,800 MT/s at just CL34, and now we have some official numbers in synthetic applications that put it at the top of the chart.

ASUS's manager, Tony, just secured a dozen "world records" with this motherboard when paired with various Ryzen 9000 processors. As reported by @unikoshardware, Tony achieved the highest scores in multiple Cinebench tests using Ryzen 9800X3D, Ryzen 9700X, and Ryzen 9900X3D processors. By deploying nitrogen cooling, Tony owns the highest scores in Cinebench R23, R20, R15, R11.5, and 2024 when it comes to Ryzen 9800X3D.

Ryzen 9800X3D World Records:

  1. Cinebench 2024: 1,801
  2. Cinebench R11.5: 57.14
  3. Cinebench R15: 4,885
  4. Cinebench R20: 12,213

Similarly, Tony has secured the top spots for many Cinebench tests using the mid-range Ryzen 9700X and the high-end Ryzen 9 9900X3D CPUs, as can be seen on the HWBot website. All scores were achieved using the liquid nitrogen cooling on the processors, which helped him hit nearly 7.0 GHz on the Ryzen 9800X3D, 6.9 GHz on the Ryzen 9700X, and 6.7 GHz on the Ryzen 9900X3D.

Ryzen 9700X World Records:

  1. SuperPi- 1M: 6 Sec 131 ms
  2. Cinebench R23 Multi-Core: 31,295
  3. Cinebench R20: 12,110
  4. Cinebench R15: 4,812
  5. Cinebench R11.5: 55.41

Ryzen 9900X3D World Records:

  1. Cinebench R11.5: 79.49
  2. Cinebench R15: 6,975
  3. Cinebench R23 Multi-Core: 44,909

The impressive overclocking capabilities of the B850M AYW Gaming OC WiFi 7 are a result of its incredible design, which offers robust power delivery, featuring 12+2+1 power phase VRM with 80A MOSFETs coupled with dense and well-grooved heatsinks. For memory, too, the motherboard offers a 1SPC configuration for achieving better frequencies at lower latency. For a sub-$200, the B850M AYW Gaming OC WiFi7 is like a dream come true for overclockers, but unfortunately, it will be only available in the Asian-Pacific region.
