ASUS has introduced what it's calling the world's first glossy WOLED gaming monitor, the ROG STRIX XG27AQDMG.

Glossy finishes have become a rare sight in the gaming monitor segment with matte finishing being the choice for several display brands but ASUS wants to keep this tradition alive and has just introduced the world's first WOLED gaming monitor which comes with a glossy OLED panel which is called the ROG STRIX XG27AQDMG.

The ASUS ROG STRIX XG27AQDMG WOLED gaming monitor is a 26.5" flat-panel design that comes with a 1440P (QHD) resolution, a refresh rate of 240Hz, & a response time of 0.03ms. This panel is designed for high-end gamers, especially the eSports segment since they can benefit from such RR numbers. The gaming monitor is both NVIDIA G-Sync compatible and AMD Freesync certified and it also comes with VESA Certified AdaptiveSync Display 240 certification.
In terms of design, the third-generation WOLED technology is said to provide brighter white windows, clearer text, and improved motion clarity while the Glossy WOLED design ensures deep black hues and supersharp visuals under any lighting condition. The monitor is also DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 compliant.
As for the protection aspects, the ASUS ROG STRIX XG27AQDMG comes with ASUS's OLED care tech and OLED Anti-Flicker design. ASUS has also incorporated a custom heatsink which is fully passive in design. The monitor also carries a compact stand design and a futuristic back plate which adds to the cyberpunk aesthetics that this monitor is going for. I/O on the monitor includes a single DP1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 outputs along with two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports and an earphone jack.
As of right now, the ASUS ROG WOLED has an MSRP of $749 with a promotional pricing of $699 US at launch. Launch is expected in early Q3.
