At a press event mc'ed by Ned Luke (actor for Michael De Santa of GTA 5), ASUS launched it's "Edition 20" lineup in celebration of 20 years of the Republic of Gamers.
Edition 20 Is Surprisingly Subtle For An ROG Special Edition
Characterized by gold-colored accents and 20th anniversary badging applied liberally, almost every product in the ROG product line got an "Edition 20" makeover. As you can see, it's pretty tastefully done, with the ROG Destrier chair, backpack, and suitcase almost casual enough to be used in business settings. In fact I'd love to grab the backpack and suitcase for myself, but unfortunately these will only see a limited release and won't be widely available at retail.
Motherboards, Cases, and Coolers All Get An Edition 20 Makeover
As you can see, the X870E Crosshair Edition 20 motherboard pairs beautifully with the ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20 liquid cooler. For the DIY components, the designers clearly weren't going for a subtle appearance, unlike the lifestyle gear above. Still, I think it looks very clean, especially when installed in the GR20 Edition 20 (unfortunate name, yes) open frame chassis.
ROG Astral RTX 5090 Edition 20: A True 800W, Curved-AMOLED Behemoth
Now this is the kind of extravagant design I expected from an ROG special edition. Building on the already beefy ROG Astral 5090, the Edition 20 adds a huge curved AMOLED display, capable of displaying real time metrics and custom animations. It also gets a transparent glass backplate, etched with ROG accents and Edition 20 motifs.
Of course, with the ROG Astral 5090 capable of drawing up to 800W via dual-input from the GC-HPWR connector, you'll need a power supply that can handle that kind of gluttony. Enter the ROG Thor 3000W Titanium III Edition 20, an utterly insane power supply that can handle up to 4 RTX 5090s simultaneously. Of course, it also has an OLED display, lest you run out of display real estate for waifu gifs on your Edition 20 build. The ROG Equalizer cable also gets the Edition 20 makeover.
For Those Who (Don't) Dare
If you aren't into DIY PC, ASUS still has you covered with Edition 20 releases. The ROG NUC 16 Edition 20 comes packed with an RTX 5090 mobile and boasts up to 300W of total system power draw, which is impressive for such a slim 3L package. There's also a desktop, the ROG G1000 Edition 20, which packs up to a Ryzen 9 9950X3D cooled by a 420mm liquid cooler, an RTX 5090, and in a first for a prebuilt, a holographic "AniMe" fan that can display whatever you want.
Monitors, Routers, Keyboards, and Mice
ASUS didn't skimp on the peripherals either. The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-G Edition 20 is a dual-mode WOLED monitor with Edition 20 gold lighting and trim. ASUS's flagship Wifi 7 router also gets the Edition 20 treatment, in the ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro Edition 20. For keyboards, ASUS really pulled out all the stops for the special-edition ROG Azoth Extreme Edition 20, featuring real carbon fiber and 24K gold elements. Finally, the ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 mouse finishes off the complement of Edition 20 peripherals.
There's even more Edition 20 gear, like a board game, as well as a special Edition 20 theme for Armoury Crate, and the ultra-exclusive ROG Crosshair 2006 motherboard. Actually, that last one might not technically be part of the Edition 20 collection. Regardless, we'll have to wait for word from ASUS on pricing and availability, but with this much effort put into such a broad portfolio of products, I'd be surprised if most of these don't see a full retail release.
