ASUS has released its latest X870 motherboard BIOS based on the AGESA 1.3.0.1 firmware, which is optimized for AMD's Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition CPU.

This week, AMD finally unveiled its Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition CPU, the much-awaited and first look at a chip featuring dual 3D V-Cache stacks. The CPU is designed for enthusiasts, content creators, & heavy multi-tasking users, and packs an absolute mammoth 16 Cores, 208 MB cache, and a 200W TDP.

Since this is a big launch, all motherboard vendors, including ASUS, are now rolling out their latest BIOS that will offer optimized support for the CPU.

Over at the ASUS ROG Forums, the company has uploaded its latest BETA BIOS, which is the first outing of the latest AMD AGESA 1.3.0.1 firmware. The BIOS is specifically optimized for the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition CPU, and also comes with certain changes to the ASUS Crosshair Tweak feature. The change-log is listed below:

1. Update to AGESA ComboAM5 1.3.0.1(BETA)
2. Optimized for the 9950X3D2 Dual Edition
3. Add Crosshair Tweak item (When using Mode 2 in the Crosshair series, the same memory rules as the test BIOS 99xx are applied)
