AC Mirage update 1.0.6

Assassin's Creed Mirage Xbox players have been reporting issues when trying to start the game, and Microsoft is actively working on a fix.

Xbox players have been reporting to have been confronted with startup issues, namely error code "0x87e10bc6", which appears to suggest that, for some, the game is "temporarily unavailable", or no longer in the game catalog, or not available in the player's region. Luckily, the Xbox team is aware of these startup issues and is currently investigating the issue. "We are aware that some users are experiencing issues playing Assassin’s Creed Mirage and we are currently investigating", a tweet from the official Xbox Support Twitter account reads. Microsoft advises players to check the Xbox status page for updates on this matter.

We're likely looking at a minor issue that is temporarily preventing some Xbox players from starting Ubisoft's latest Assassin's Creed entry. We'll update you in case this turns out to be a larger issue.

Assassin's Creed Mirage is available worldwide now for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. Here's what we wrote about the game in our launch review from last week:

"The core Assassin’s Creed Mirage campaign doesn’t overstay its welcome, clocking in at around 12 to 15 hours, but there’s also a hearty amount of side content to tackle", we wrote. "Bonus contracts, “Tales of Baghdad” story bits you can run across while exploring the city, and, of course, tons of chests to loot and collectibles to grab. While Mirage doesn’t have XP or RPG-like leveling, there are still ways to improve your abilities as skill points are awarded for completing missions and you can collect crafting materials to improve your weapons and gear. There’s more than enough here to justify Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s reasonable $50 asking price, but you needn't worry about the game murdering all your free time."
