Dr. Jane Goodall was a veritable icon in the field of anthropology and primatalogy. Now, Apple has decided to leverage her distinctively placid voice in a new Mac ad.

Apple: "Great ideas Start On Mac"

Apple has worked hard to establish its Mac devices as creativity-enabling engines. And, the company's latest ad carries the same thematic message.

The ad features a narration by Dr. Jane Goodall, where her reference to a "flicker on the screen" is being interpreted as a reference to the Mac lineup in Apple's new ad:

"Every story you love, every invention that moves you, every idea you wished was yours, all began as nothing. Just a flicker on a screen, asking a simple question: What do you see?"

Apple's own video description on YouTube adds the following message:

"From groundbreaking discoveries to award-winning films — all of it starts from nothing. Endless possibility is waiting, what will you make with it? Great ideas start on Mac."

Of course, this ad comes just as the new M5 MacBook Pro is about to hit the shelves in Apple stores this week

Jane Goodall - A Towering Presence In The Field Of Primatology

For the benefit of those who might not be aware, Dr. Jane Goodall passed away on October 01 at the age of 91. She was a veritable pioneer in primate ethology, and was widely known as "the world's preeminent chimpanzee expert."

Apple CEO, Tim Cook, was among the countless others who recently eulogized Dr Goodall, celebrating her many achievements throughout an unusually fruitful career.

From the Cupertino giant's perspective, its latest Mac ad serves as a tribute of sorts to one of the greatest primatology experts of our age.
