Apple's 2027-launching iPhone 20, which is expected to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the now-iconic original iPhone, has been the center of attention in the tech universe for quite a while. Especially due to a plethora of reports that have continued to suggest that Apple is seemingly aiming for the proverbial stars by trying to manufacture a device that would look like a seamless slab of glass. And now, we have just received some definitive tidbits regarding the iPhone 20's unique frame design.
Apple's iPhone 20 to feature a rounded, 1.1mm frame that would support the rumored quad-curve display
The tipster Schrödinger is out with a fresh scoop today, noting that Apple's upcoming iPhone 20 (the tech giant is all set to skip the iPhone 19 label) will sport "a 1.1mm frame with a rounded design to match the quad curve design."
Do note that the iPhone 20 is expected to sport a quad-curved, waterfall display that bends towards the frame on all four sides. It will also remain unmarred by any physical keys or display cutouts, evoking the look and feel of a uniform slab of glass.
Of course, to achieve this look, Apple will have to move the selfie camera and the Face ID module under the display. Here, however, we reported recently that the Cupertino giant has been encountering problems moving sensors beneath the display, and that a true full-screen display remains a distant dream for now.
Of course, Apple still has around 18 months to iron out any lingering creases around its vision of perfection. After all, almost any challenge can be solved if you throw enough resources at it.
