Apple Vision Pro is launching in eight countries, starting July 12

The Apple Vision Pro was previously said to make its international debut soon and it was fitting that the WWDC 2024 keynote was when the company made the announcement official. Previously, it was reported that the AR headset would launch in seven regions, but according to Apple, the head-mounted wearable will arrive in eight countries and, much sooner than you think.

Various Asian countries can pre-order the Apple Vision Pro on July 13, but the official release will happen a few days later

For all potential buyers living outside of the U.S., the Apple Vision Pro pre-order and availability dates are given below. For all those interested, the $3,499 device will be available to pre-order in various Asian and European countries.

“Apple Vision Pro will be available at all Apple Store locations in China mainland, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the U.K., and the U.S., and the Apple Store online, starting at $3,499 (U.S.), with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities.

Customers in China mainland, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore will be able to pre-order Apple Vision Pro beginning Thursday, June 13, at 6 p.m. PT, with availability beginning Friday, June 28.

Customers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the U.K. will be able to pre-order Apple Vision Pro beginning Friday, June 28, at 5 a.m. PT, with availability beginning Friday, July 12.”

Initially, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the Apple Vision Pro was estimated to ship between 800,000 and 850,000 units, but due to waning demand, that figure dropped to a disappointing 400,000 to 450,000 units for 2024. The reason for this decline is pretty straightforward: Apple’s steep price is discouraging potentially millions from making the Vision Pro their daily driver.

According to a separate report, the device could do well in regions such as Japan because virtual reality has been adopted there for a few years now. However, the biggest hurdle standing in Apple’s way is the pricing, which could be addressed with the low-cost version that is rumored to arrive sometime in 2025. Then again, it is possible that the launch of visionOS 2 slated to arrive later this year should make future buyers more excited to pick up the headset.
