Apple Releases iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, macOS 15, And More Release Candidate Builds To Developers

Today, Apple has seen fit to seed the first release candidate build of its forthcoming iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, macOS 15 and other updates. The latest updates arrive soon after the company announced the new iPhone 16 lineup alongside the new Apple Watch Series 10, which, to be fair, are pretty major upgrades compared to their predecessor.

Apple has also announced that it will be releasing the final version of iOS 18 for the general public on September 16, making it available for all compatible iPhone models starting with the iPhone XR and newer. If you are a developer, this might be the last build that you have to download to get your hands on iOS 18 early, as the update will be publicly available.

iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 release candidate build can be downloaded on compatible iPhone and iPad models through the Settings app, but you have to make sure that your Apple ID is connected to your Developer Account to receive the update over the air. Simply head over to General > Software Update > Beta Updates and download the latest build.

watchOS 11 can be downloaded through the dedicated Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Simply head over to General > Software Updates > Beta Updates and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update.

macOS 15 can be downloaded through the Software Update section in System Settings and again, similar to iOS 18, the release candidate build requires you to link your Apple ID with your Developer Account to receive the update.

visionOS 2 release candidate build can be downloaded on the headset through the Settings app as well and all you have to do is opt into the Beta to download the update on your Vision Pro headset. Lastly, tvOS 18 can be downloaded on your Apple TV through the Settings app and if you have automatic updates enabled, it will be installed automatically.
