Apple announces tvOS and Home features

WWDC 2024 brings some exciting new features to Home and tvOS with an advanced upgrade to Apple TV Plus called InSight. Have you ever been frustrated by not remembering the lead actor's name or details? Apple has you covered with its ability to give insights about the movies and series you watch. With this new feature, you can use your remote and scroll down to view details on the actors in real-time.

With the InSight feature, the subtitles are automatically turned on every time you go back to a scene

This capability of InSight is similar to Amazon X-Ray, but this time, it applies to content for Apple TV. It enhances the audio experience by adding music you want to keep in the Apple Music playlist. Subtitles are conveniently placed as well, and they automatically appear every time you mute or skip back in time to understand a scene better.

What is even more interesting is Apple's advancement in voice clarity and better understanding of dialogues. The company now uses dialogue enhancement with the help of machine learning and offers three levels of deep enhancement. The visuals are also enhanced to give a theater-like experience with the 21:9 projector support, and you can watch the shows the way they are intended. The Snoopy update comes to the tvOS as well, where Snoopy pops live every time your Apple TV sits idle.

Coming to the AirPods, Apple is making the experience more seamless by incorporating a hands-free experience when interacting with Siri and introducing gestures to the accessory. You can simply nod your way through your communication with Siri, making this feature very convenience-focused for users.

Voice isolation is another enticing addition to the Airpods Pro, which would help you understand the voice crystal clear by reducing background noise. The tech giant is expanding spatial audio by using a new API to make listening more immersive. The Personalized Spatial Audio API will enhance the gaming experience, and Need For Speed Mobile will be the first to come with this capability.
