With the latest Ryzen Master software, users won't have to restart their systems when they turn on AMD EXPO and can tune more memory parameters.
AMD Ryzen Master 2.14.1.3286 can now run the EXPO on the fly and adds 5MHz steps for manual CPU control
AMD has just released its latest Ryzen Master software for overclocking AMD Ryzen processors and AMD EXPO-compatible memories. The software is meant to overclock the components without deep diving into the BIOS, making it a convenient source for enthusiasts.
The software has been there for several years and is improving day by day with the latest updates. The latest Ryzen Master 2.14.1.3286 edition is now one of the most advanced solutions for overclocking, eliminating any need to restart the system. Usually, applying any major change via the software needs a system reboot to take effect, which was the case for AMD EXPO technology as well.
AMD EXPO (Extreme Profiles for Overclocking ) is used for increasing memory speed for improved performance and works only with EXPO-compatible memories. With the latest update, once the EXPO is turned on, users can apply the changes on the fly. Furthermore, with some more introduced tuning parameters, it will be easier for the users to tweak memory parameters to ensure better performance through higher frequency and lower cache latency.
That said, the latest version also brings more features and improvements over the previous version, including support for 105W eco-mode for AMD Ryzen 9000 CPUs rated at 65W and 120W. Also, the latest version unlocks the ability to increase the CPU clock by 5 MHz steps in manual control mode.
Another big update is AMD's discontinuation of support for the first and second generation of AMD Ryzen and Threadripper series i.e., 1000 and 2000 family CPUs. This means owners with these CPUs will have to keep using the previous versions of Ryzen Master to be able to access the new features. The latest Ryzen Master software can be downloaded from the official website.
