AMD has just launched its Ryzen 8000HX "Dragon Range Refresh" mobility CPU lineup that aims at the high-end laptop gaming segment.

As expected, AMD has refreshed its Dragon Range mobile CPU lineup, which was launched as the Ryzen 7000HX series almost two years ago. Today, the lineup is being refreshed under the Ryzen 8000HX CPU family and features the same Zen 4 core architecture, which delivers superb efficiency and performance.

Today's lineup includes a total of four SKUs, each expanding the performance capability of the last offering with higher clock speeds. The following are the main features of the lineup:

The flagship SKU within the lineup is the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX, which features 16 cores, 32 threads, 80 MB of cache, up to 5.4 GHz clocks, and a configurable TDP rated at 55- 75W. The rest of the line includes the 16-core Ryzen 9 8940HX, the 12-core Ryzen 7 8840HX, and the 8-core Ryzen 7 8745HX.
