The AMD RDNA 4 GPU prices have been declining steadily in some regions, but it's hard to imagine such low prices in the RAMpocalypse era.

AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series Drop to Record Low Prices in 2026; Both RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT are Now Below MSRP

While the market continues to suffer from inflated GPU prices, there are some regions where nothing seems to have changed. The RAMpocalypse did affect the GPU prices in most parts of the world, but while some regions continue to record much higher GPU prices than before, there are regions where the GPU prices have been declining in recent months steadily.

Among them are some parts of the EU region and also some parts of East Asia. The latest reports from Gazlog suggest that the prices of certain GPU models have been dropping steadily in recent weeks, to the point where they are now at near or lower prices than their official MSRPs. Among them are some of the AMD RDNA 4 GPUs, aka Radeon RX 9000 series. The latest reports cover the price decline of the flagship RDNA 4 GPU, i.e., the Radeon RX 9070 XT, and one of the most popular budget graphics cards, the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB.

According to the outlet, after tracking the prices of some models of the Radeon RX 9070 XT in the past few months, it has been discovered that the GPU has dropped to below 100,000 Yen levels. For comparison, the Radeon RX 9070 XT official MSRP starts at 112,980 Yen and can go up to 137,800 Yen. The latest price trend shows that in the last three months, the Radeon RX 9070 XT has dropped from around 110,000 Yen to around 90,000 Yen. The lowest price seen is 87,800 Yen, which is equivalent to around $552. This is even lower than the MSRP for the reference edition in the US.

Many cards, such as the Sapphire Pulse RX 9070 XT and the ASRock RX 9070 XT Challenger, are now selling for around 90,000 Yen, which is the lowest this year has seen. Similarly, the RX 9060 XT 16 GB is also experiencing steady price drops in the last three months, and has now dropped to an incredible 52,800 Yen or US$332. The RX 9060 XT launched at $349 in the US and for around 52,800-59,800 Yen or US$332-$376 in Japan.

This shows that the demand for the GPU has dwindled in the last few months after the GPUs saw a significant price increase due to higher VRAM costs. In recent weeks, we have also seen reports that showed that retailers are selling the RDNA 4 GPUs at a loss to recover their investment. This is perhaps why the RX 9000 series continues to see some price declines every week or so.
