AMD has released its latest Adrenalin 23.5.2 drivers, supporting the newly released Diablo IV and optimizations for Stable Diffusion 1.5. Various fixes for issues with the latest RX 7000 series GPUs have also been addressed in this new update.
AMD Adrenalin 23.5.2 Adds Supports For Diablo IV, Along With Over 2x Performance Increase With Stable Diffusion 1.5
AMD has now included long-needed support for Diablo IV with this latest driver update. In addition, the business recognized the Stable Diffusion AI buzz and profited from it by significantly enhancing performance with their driver upgrade.
According to the press release, the new Adrenalin driver update increases performance nearly twice (compared to the previous version) on Microsoft Olive Optimized DirectML Stable Diffusion 1.5. You may get a sense of this leap from the graph below:
While the driver update has resulted in a performance boost, some issues identified by AMD are yet to be resolved. You can look at the identified problems below:
- High idle power has situationally been observed when using select high-resolution and high refresh rate displays on Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs.
- Certain virtual reality games or applications may encounter suboptimal performance or occasional stuttering on Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs.
- Application crashes may be intermittently observed while playing RuneScape on some AMD Graphics Products, such as the Radeon RX 5700 XT.
- Application crash or driver timeout may be observed during playback of AV1 video content using DaVinci Resolve Studio.
- Intermittent corruption may be observed after switching windows while playing Nioh 2 on some AMD Graphics Products, such as the Radeon RX 6800 XT.

We recommend users update their GPU drivers from the AMD website here. Before proceeding, you should ensure your system is compatible with the update to avoid unstable performance.
