If you are an Amazon Music subscriber then you will be pleased to learn that the iOS app now fully supports Apple's CarPlay.

You Can Now Control Amazon Music Straight from the CarPlay Interface, Thanks to the Latest iOS App Release

Thanks to CarPlay, your car's infotainment system turns into an extension of your iPhone, allowing you to do and control a bunch of things. Whether it's Siri, checking text messages or making a call, CarPlay has you covered in a wonderful fashion. But of course, you need to have a compatible infotainment system in your car in the first place to get things in motion. Also, there are only a handful of apps available that actually show up in CarPlay whenever you connect your iPhone to the system. Today, that list expands further with the addition of Amazon Music.

With the latest update installed on your iPhone, you can control songs right from your car's infotainment system. This ensures that you do not have to fiddle around with your iPhone in traffic just to reach that song which you heard back in Starbucks.

It's a good move from Amazon, bringing CarPlay support to its music service. Rather than forcing users to be stuck with Apple Music, Spotify etc., a new option could only mean that things are going in the right direction.

If you haven't subscribed to Amazon Music already, then you can do so right away. If you have a Prime subscription at hand, then the subscription will set you back $7.99 a month. If you don't have one, then you will have to pony up $9.99. Given you have an Echo speaker at home, then you will be pleased to learn that there's a dedicated plan for that as well, setting you back just $3.99 a month. But of course, the Echo plan is somewhat useless since your listening is limited to the Echo speaker itself.

If you have a CarPlay system at hand along with an iPhone, then be sure to download the Amazon Music app straight from the App Store.
